Is Slimline your card line?
Create this cute Mini Slimline in no time at all. You can also recreate in Traditional Slimline by simply changing the cutting dimensions. All my measurements are in inches.
Traditional Slimline base card dimensions are: 8.5" x 7" Scoring on the 7" side at 3.5"
Mini Slimline base card dimensions are: 6" x 7" Scoring on the 7" side at 3.5.
These are the traditional sizes however you can easily create your own slimline base by simply adjusting the sizing.
This slimline card uses 2 of my favorite colour combinations, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. A wonderful combination for Christmas, Fall, or Male card. The Background Designer Paper is Ever Eden. So lets get started:
Measurements:
Evening Evergreen: Card Base 6" x 7" Scored on 7" side at 3/5"
Backdrop for Tag using the second smallest "Stitched so Sweetly" Rectangular Die
Soft Succulent: 3.25" x 5.75"
Basic White: Tag using smallest Stitched so "Sweetly Rectangular" Die
Inside Card, 3.25" x 5.75"
Ever Eden Designer Paper 3" x 5.5 "
Evening Evergreen Chevron Weave Ribbon, 4.5"
Gold Shimmer Velum 1.75" x 12"
Instructions:
Score Evening Evergreen cardbase at 3.5 on the 7" side and fold. Using bone folder give the fold a clean pressed appearance.
Adhere the Soft Succulent 3.25" x 5.75" piece to the cardbase, centered.
Adhere the Evening Evergreen ribbon to the back left side of the Ever Eden Designer paper approximately 1" in from the left side. Do not adhere to front yet Secure this piece to the Soft Succulent cardstock.
Punch a row of evergreens using the Gold Velum Paper and the Evergreen Border punch. Measure off how wide a piece you will require for the front going edge to edge with the Ever Eden Designer paper. The rest can be used for another card or inside the card to accent. Tip: By cutting the evergreens apart you can create a dimensional look to your card by placing them behind the punched piece.
Place the row of evergreens approximately 1/8" from bottom of the DSP from side to side. Slide under the ribbon. Secure using glue dots and secure ribbon to front using glue dots.
Punch the Evening Evergreen and Basic White tags. On the Basic White stamp the greeting of your choice. I used Season's Greetings from the "Penguin Place" Stamp Set. Adhere the basic white stamped piece to the evening evergree piece and using dimensionals adhere approximately 1/2" from top centered on the ribbon.
Add 2 Soft Succulent Garden Gems to left hand side of tag to accent.
Adhere inside basic white 3.25" x 5.75 piece and add punched evergreens if desired.
Dot the card with stickles or glitter of your choice to create a starry look. (If desired, I used stickles)
